Algernon Bayard is an archon from South Africa. He came to the United States in 1998 to investigate the death of Justicar Octavius and Prince Mancini.

Until 1998, no one was even sure of his clan. However, recent rumors are that he is a Malkavian who was nearly chosen to become the new Malkavian Justicar. As it turns out, he now serves as Xaviar's archon.
