Clan Tremere

It is believed that Crosus was originally a Mage who spent most of his life in Rome and Greece before he was embraced and traveled to Constantinople.

?? - 1197 A.D.: Crosus was a Tremere in Constantinople, and he was a significant participant in the war between the Tremere and Tzimisce clans. There are rumors among some ancient occult experts that say Crosus became involved with a powerful Mage and an Antediluvian who were secretly engineering a jyhad of sorts.

1197 - 1814.: Crosus developed a reputation for being a blacksheep in his clan, a sort of individualist loner and loose canon. Some say it was Tremere himself who kept the other clan elders from smiting the rogue Crosus. Some say that when the Sabbat and Camarilla were both founded, Crosus was involved with both sides, his friends formed the Sabbat and his own clan formed the Camarilla. His loyalty was questioned during this time.

1814: Crosus became interested and involved in New Orleans and it's future.

1960 - 1980: Crosus spent twenty years in the U.S. dabbling more in finance, business, and politics until he secured a princedom over Miami, Florida.

1980: Crosus moved to New Orleans and in 1987 he became primogen.

1998: Crosus began disappearing from New Orleans for long periods of time, secluding himself like a hermit.

2002: Crosus popped up in Miami, Florida, and reclaimed it as his princedom. Some say that between 2002 and 2016 he spent a lot of time a way from the city, leaving for several months, and coming back for a month, then leaving again.

2016: Crosus came back to New Orleans for the first time in 14 years.

Rumors are whispered among New Orleans kindred that Crosus is among the most powerful and ancient vampires in the United States, and that he may be deeply involved with the Jyhad. His left eye is a different color than his right eye. There is a rumor that this change came about after he diablerized a powerful vampire.

Crosus Merula's veins have becomes signficantly darker in the past 14 years; some kindred (with Auspex) notice this blackness is noticable not just in his aura but it is actually somewhat visible in his complexion. Some suggest infernal diablerie while others suggest he found a way to diablerize an Assamite during the Tremere-Assamite war.

In any case, Crosus has become very powerful with Thaumaturgy paths & rituals, especially those involving blood. The photograph below (Crosus & Mercedes) was taken in Florida in 1980 shortly before Crosus's move to New Orleans.
