Gene is a large cowboy who enjoys playing poker and hanging out in bars. He always packs at least one gun. When he goes out, he either drives his 4x4 Ford pickup or his street-illegal stock car. He has earned the nickname "Foghorn Leghorn" in New Orleans because some people think his demeanor resembles the cartoon character. In 1998 he inherited Wildcard Jay's casino, and in 2000 he sold it to Walker Smithson.
