Howell is a corrections officer at a nearby state corrections center. He uses inmates as his herd, but he also hunts. He spends a lot of his time coming up with plans to improve clan security and hunting grounds.

Some say Howell has mastered Protean powers and Gift of Proteus, and he regularly takes on the form of a wolf or tiger.
