Marcus is a cool-headed combat expert who was assigned (by Nikolas) to hang out with the Round Table coterie in the summer of 1997. Marcus became a supporter and friend of the coterie. Some say Marcus is a member of the Round Table, while others say he is a member of the Gangrel coterie. Perhaps he is both.

After Walker's disappearance, Marcus remained with the coterie despite Nikolas's wishes that he instead take a new assignment.

Rumor is that Marcus was selected by The Mountaintop to become a member of the Assamite Clan, but he was embraced by Nikolas Stratkoth before the Assamite's could get to him.

Marcus's pre-1997 friends were Jimmy D, Leroy Wallace, and Nathan Brazil. He goes way back with all of them.
