Vail is a vampire with an eerie presence. Most of the local kindred are curious about him, and some secretly fear him. He always wears sunglasses at night, and there are rumors that he the scar on his forehead occasionally opens into a third eye. This leads some to believe that perhaps he is one of the legendary Salubri, although the more knowledgable kindred know that is impossible because the Tremere hate the Salubri. So they arrive at the conclusion that the eye is perhaps a thaumaturgical power or maybe the result of a Tzimisce's vicissitude.

The players should notice that Vail is not as powerful in this new timeline and is not a member of the Sabbat. In fact, he is a member of the Camarilla! See, in this timeline, Vail never traveled back in time to become the powerful Sabbat vampire of the nineties. However, he is powerful and quite a strange fellow.
