For many years, Matthew served as a loyal archon. When Gangrel Justicar Xaviar left the Camarilla along with half the world's Gangrel in 1999, this Gangrel retired from his life as an archon and moved to Las Vegas to start a new life. He had earned an incredible reputation from his years of service, and moving into the seat of Gangrel Primogen wasn't difficult - particularly in Las Vegas, where the Gangrel Clan consists of bikers, gamblers and drifters with little interest in Kindred politics.
