Latest Game Sessions and Notes
After battling kidnappers and safely arriving at Marsh Keep, the party received several weeks of training in martial and magical arts, and exposed an evil wizard who had infiltrated the school and impersonated one of it's leaders. While Marsh Keep attempts to locate the real archmage of the school, Theodain Eriason of the Circle of Eight has been staying in town to oversee things.
To thank the characters for their help, they were offered choice assignments and 10 gold pieces per day. The party split up. Verek the Priest traveled to Greyhawk after Syn's attempt to sway him only convinced him his destiny was in Greyhawk instead of with the party. Raam, Handon, and a group from Marsh Keep traveled to the Gnarley Forest to spring whatever trap was set by the imposter sorceress. Rurik, Brok, and Syn entered the Underdark beneath Greysmere along with three dwarven warriors. They went in to explore, and eliminate or make note of stray threats. The sorcerer and the five dwarves defeated a group of Derro and their Illusionist leader who had set up an outpost there. The party found a derro map that lead to the distant Crystalmist Mountains. Syn used magic to read the map and learned of "treasures left behind by the illithid". He then teleported the party to the treasure site using wordcraft, but this overtaxed him, and he collapsed.
Next game, we will find out what happens in the treasury, and with the team in the forest.
