Microsoft Xbox Halo Tournament

CONTEST DESCRIPTION

Eight players will compete against each other in a game of Xbox "Halo" with game settings described in each round of the tournament. At the conclusion of each game, players will receive points based on their placement as follows:

Scoring System:
1st Place = 8 points
2nd Place = 7 points
3rd Place = 6 points
4th Place = 5 points
5th Place = 4 points
6th Place = 3 points
7th Place = 2 points
8th Place = 1 point

This 8-player tournament consists of 6 rounds. The first 5 rounds are the elimination rounds. No one is eliminated until the end of the fifth round when all but the top 4 players are eliminated. The remaining 4 players proceed to Round 6. There will be a 10-minute break between each round to allow bathroom trips, smoking, etc. Between each game, there will be a 2-minute semi-break while seating is determined for the next game and the next game is loaded on each Xbox.

Round 1 consists of 2 Free-For-All games, 8-players.
Round 2 consists of 2 Team games, 8-players.
Round 3 consists of 2 special types of Slayer games, 8-players.
Round 4 consists of 3 Wild & Crazy games, 8-players.
Round 5 consists of 3 Oddball & Tag games, 8-players.
Round 6 consists of 2 Slayer Pro games (4 players) followed by a final slayer match between the top 2 players.

Players earn 1 to 8 points each round. The 4 players with the most points at the end of Round 5 proceed to Round 6 which consists of 2 Slayer Pro games (4-players) and a head to head match between the top 2 players. Winner takes all!
