TOURNAMENT RULES OF CONDUCT
- Failure to follow the rules will result in that person's permanent removal from the event.
- In the case of an Xbox crash, the game will be restarted from the beginning, no matter what time it crashed.
- There will be no pausing or interruptions of play whatsoever (bathroom, phone etc.). Failure to comply will result in an automatic forfeit of the game in progress. The only exception to this rule is in the event of technical difficulties, in which case there will be a complete start-over, regardless of previous score.
- If a player is judged to have intentionally interrupted play, he will be disqualified from the Halo tournament.
- Players will conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor to spectators, tournament officials, and other Players.
- Spectators and players not currently in the game must remain quiet when inside the designated tournament area. Talking is permitted, but must be kept at a reasonable level, and away from competing players. It is strictly forbidden that spectators communicate with a Player while he or she is competing. Although general cheering is permitted, specific clues or hints may not be given. With the exception of a team game, a player may not communicate to other players regarding anyone else's position or activities.
- Players will refrain from the use of all vulgar language when inside the designated tournament area. Exceptions to this rule include crap, damn, shit, fuck and other four letter words. Player handles may contain vulgar language and subject matter that is not suitable for the public. Teasing competitors during matches is prohibited. Teasing competitors between matches is encouraged.
- Players are expected to compete in a professional manner. Throwing a match, halting play without cause, or showing a flagrant lack of effort can be construed as a violation of Player conduct, and result in match forfeit by the Tournament Official.
- Spectators of the tournament must act in a respectful manner towards all competitors while in attendance at the event. Disrupting a Player's match or chatting over a Player's shoulder during a match is prohibited.
- Use of alcohol or drugs is encouraged at all Halo Home Championship events. Players may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while competing in a tournament.
